Terms of service

These terms cover the website service sold by Lohith Chundi ("StackClose") at stackclose.com. They're written in plain language. When you pay at checkout, you agree to them. If anything is unclear, email hello@stackclose.com before you buy.

What you get

We design and build a custom website for your business, host it, and put it on a domain we register for you. StackClose's AI assistant handles our conversations with you, writes your site and builds it. It will always tell you it's an AI.

Price and payment

• The build fee is $200, charged when you check out.
• Hosting is $15 a month. It starts 30 days after checkout and renews every month until you cancel. It covers hosting, your domain, SSL and answers to your questions.
• Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

Building your site and asking for changes

• After checkout we'll ask for your logo, photos, colors and anything you want on the site. The first version usually takes a few days.
• You get a preview link. Tell us what to change and we'll send a new preview after each round, until you approve the site.
• If you're still not happy after 5 rounds of changes, tell us and we'll refund the $200 and cancel your service.

Review the content before you approve it

Your site's words are written with AI, based on what you tell us and what's publicly available about your business. AI can get things wrong. Please check everything, including services, prices, hours, service areas and any licenses or certifications, before you approve. Once you approve, you're responsible for what your site says, and you can ask us to fix anything at any time.

Your domain

• When you approve your site, we'll offer you a few available names and register the one you pick. The yearly renewal is included in your $15 a month.
• StackClose registers the domain in its own name and keeps it for as long as you're a customer. It is not transferred to you.

Canceling

• You can cancel anytime, using the billing link in any receipt, or by emailing us the word "cancel" at hello@stackclose.com.
• If you cancel, your site stays up through the month you've paid for, then goes offline. We turn off auto-renew on the domain, and it lapses when its current registration period ends.
• If you pay again before the domain expires, we turn everything back on.
• Canceling doesn't refund the $200 build fee or months already paid. The only refund is the one for being unhappy after 5 rounds of changes, described above.

Late payments

If a monthly payment fails, Stripe will try the card again and we'll remind you. If your account is 30 days unpaid, we pause your site until you pay. Paying turns it back on.

Your content

You own the words, photos and logo you give us. You give us permission to use them to build, host and show your site, and you confirm you have the right to use them. We won't publish anything unlawful or anything that infringes someone else's rights.

Featuring your site

At checkout you choose whether we may feature your finished site on our work page and in posts about our work, such as on our Facebook page. You can change your mind anytime by emailing hello@stackclose.com.

No guarantees

We work hard to keep your site online and working, but we can't promise it will never be down or error-free, or that it will bring you a particular number of customers or search rankings. The service is provided "as is", to the extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, StackClose isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost business or lost data. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll post the new version here and update the date above. If a change affects you in a meaningful way, we'll tell you by email or text before it applies.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts.
